Christmas Eve Service ONLINE

  • Columbia City Church of Hope 3818 South Angeline Street Seattle, WA, 98118 United States (map)

Join us to celebrate the wonder and joy of Christmas Eve with a special, interactive, kid-friendly service on Zoom. (Email admin@columbiacityhope.org for Zoom link access.) We will channel the energy of Church of Hope Christmas with music led by Bo Mendez, scavenger hunt activities for the kids during songs, and candles during Silent Night.

To bring the sacred feeling of Christmas Eve into your home, our Liturgy Team has a few suggestions that you may consider to prepare for the service.

  • Dress up! Wear your Christmas pajamas, a fancy holiday outfit, or dress for a pageant: you can be a shepherd, angel, Mary or Joseph, one of the magi… go with your imagination! Join us early before the service to celebrate how beautiful we are.

  • Position your zoom screen so that everyone can see the Christmas tree or other holiday decorations behind you.  Want a zoom background instead? Download your favorite from these options!

  • Bring bells or other noise makers to add joy to the songs. Hit mute and sing as loud as you want! (We will send a link so you may print song sheets before the service.)

  • Gather all the candles you can find. Turn the lights low or off to enjoy the flickering glow. Have your Advent wreath ready to light, and hand-held candles for “Silent Night."

  • Go out for a walk around your block just before the service to feel the cold air, see holiday lights, and wish neighbors a Merry Christmas.

  • Invite friends and family to join you--we will make it very visitor friendly (easy to follow, no break-out groups, inclusive theology), so please share the zoom link with anyone you know.
