Virtual Film Screening: Manifest Destiny Jesus

  • Columbia City Church of Hope 3818 South Angeline Street Seattle, WA, 98118 United States (map)

Thursday February 10th at 7PM

We're hosting a virtual screening of Manifest Destiny Jesus, a documentary in which Church of Hope (the building and the people) play a supporting role. From the film's website, Manifest Destiny Jesus "examines how portraying Jesus as white has reinforced cultural divides from the colonial era up through our modern period of rampant gentrification, segregated churches, and police violence."

The screening will start at 7PM and will be hosted on Zoom. Afterwards, Josh Aaseng and Daemond Arrindell, two of the three creators and members of the film's creative team, will join in a discussion with Pastor Darla in a moderated conversation. There will be time after the moderated discussion for a brief question and answer session, where attendees can voice questions.

There is no cost to attend the screening. Please email Alex at admin@columbiacityhope.org for access to the screening’s Zoom link.
